  How to access
 
 
Login to Nelligan to:
  • View and renew loans
  • Manage "favourite searches"
  • Modify your PIN, phone numbers or email address
  1– Click on "My Account"
     at the top of any Nelligan
     screen.



2– Enter your name.



3– Enter the barcode number
     on your library card.



4– Enter your PIN.
     If you do not have a PIN,
     enter your name
     and barcode number
     then click Submit



5– Enter a PIN
     (minimum of 6 digits).

  Viewing loans and fines

First, access your account.

Fines, if any, will appear
at the right of the screen.
To view fines details,
click on the dollar amount.
Details of the fines will appear
at the bottom of the screen.





Your current loans will be listed
at the bottom of the screen.
For each loan, the Title, Author, Barcode Number, Due Date
and Call Number are displayed.

  Renewing and sorting items
 
 

First, access your account.


  1– Select items to be renewed
     by clicking the box next to
     the item.

     A checkmarkwill appear.
     If you have made a mistake,
     deselect items by clicking
     on the checked box.


2– Click on Renew Selected

3– If you wish to renew all items,
     click on Renew All

  Modifying your PIN
 
 

First, access your account.

Then click on Modify Your Pin


  1– Enter your current PIN.


2– Enter your new PIN.


3– Enter your new PIN
     a second time.


4– Click Submit

Note:
Your PIN must have at least 6 characters and must contain numbers only.

When selecting your PIN, avoid repeating the same digits such as 111111 or 222222.
Also avoid repeatable patterns such as 121212 or 123123.

If not, the system will display the following error message:
"Your PIN is not secure enough and has been rejected."

After 5 unsuccessful attempts, the system will stop responding for 1 minute.
Try again later.

  Forgot your PIN?

If you don't remember your PIN and cannot access your account, Nelligan can send you an email allowing you to change your PIN.

  1– From the My Account screen, click on Forgot your PIN?

2– Follow the instructions.




Note:
You must have a valid email address in your patron record in order to change your PIN. If that is not the case, contact your library to change your PIN.

Your PIN must have at least 6 characters and must contain numbers only.

When selecting your PIN, avoid repeating the same digits such as 111111 or 222222.

If not, the system will display the following error message:

  Updating my account
 
 

First, access your account.

Then click on Modify Personal Information


  1– Modify 1st phone number
     (if required).


2– Modify 2nd phone number
     (if required).


3– Modify email address
     (if required).


4– Click Submit

  Your wish lists

Having a hard time keeping track of all the books, CDs and films recommended by friends or acclaimed by reviews? Nelligan can help you keep track of what you would like to borrow by letting you create your wish lists.

Add your wish lists:

  1– Click on My Account and
     log in.

2– Search the title you wish
     to add to your wish list.

3– From the search results
     mark the title(s) to add
     to your list.

4– Click on New List and Add
     to Your Wish List or choose
     an existing list.





Your wish lists:

  1– Click on My Account and
     log in.

2– Click on Your Wish Lists

3– Click on a wish list
     to view the titles.







Print your wish lists:

  1– Follow the steps above.

2– Click on Export Lists

3– Consult the section Using
     baskets
for more details
     on how to print.

  Your preferred searches

If you search Nelligan to find material on your favorite subject or by your favorite author, you can save those searches in your account.

Save a preferred search:

  1– Click on My Account and
     log in.

2– Search for your favorite
     author, subject, title, etc.

3– From the search results
     click on Save as
     preferred search
.

4– The next time you search
     Nelligan log in to your
     account and click on
     Your Preferred Search
     button.





View your preferred searches:

  1– Click on My account and log in.

2– Click on Your preferred searches

3– Click on Search
     to run the search in Nelligan.

  Your reading history

Patrons who enable their reading history can access their reading history by clicking the Your Reading History link in the patron information screen of My Account.


  1– Click on My Account and log in.

2– Click on Your reading history





Note:
By default, the reading history feature is disabled. You must click on Enable Reading History. Nelligan will start collecting your reading history from the date it was enabled.

You can delete entries by clicking Remove Marked or Remove All Entries.

At any time you can disable your reading history by clicking on Disable Reading History. All entries must first be removed from the history before it can be disabled.
